More new releases from High Frequency Bandwidth

At long last the Original Soundtrack Recordings from HFB's score to the PixelJunk® Shooter series is available to buy. Every track has been lovingly re-created from the dynamic score prepared for the Playstation games.

Shooter 1 garnered a BAFTA nomination for Best Original Soundtrack (Shooter 2 will be eligible for next year's awards.)

Malicious Damage Records have released the album as a DRM-Free Download in iTunes and all good MP3 stores as of now. Priced at £7.99 for the UK, the full iTunes version includes a digital booklet featuring exclusive artwork, original concept art from Shooter 1 & 2 and liner notes from Q Games' studio director Shouichi Tominaga and HFB.The album will also be available on your Playstation via the Playstation Store and Playstation Network very shortly. For those of you who found HFB listening to the PixelJunk games, we've reason to be optimistic that Shooter 2 isn't the end of the story, but like us, you'll have to wait and see.

We've just finished a remix for Russian label Ketama Records (who hosted HFB's debut in Moscow)of the delightful "Sirtaki on Mars". Keep your eyes pealed here for a preview.

Juliet Russell (vocals on "High Five Brother") just released her debut solo single which she co-produced with Dom Beken. Watch the video, buy the single or give a thumbs up to her Facebook site all via www.julietrussell.com

Dynamax (vocals on several HFB favourites) has been collaborating with Dom on a new project known as Years of the Canine. Guests include Afrika Bambaata, Mike "Clip" Payne (Parliament/Funkadelic), Kris Needs and Guy Pratt. Check it all out at www.yearsofthecanine.com

Keep an ear out for Alex's new project with Gaudi and Chester... codename ScreeN.

Some interesting info from Aaron Miles

The weird Orb/HFB track released a while ago - Liquidator Chelsea Mix (HFB vs the Orb) is ACTUALLY The Harry J. All Stars - Liquidator from the I'll Be Black compilation... Might be a little bit different but not enough to be a remix.

On the Baghdad Batteries bonus cd, the track "The Doll" is a version of Thomas Fehlmann's Barbie Girl remix of Electric Chairs BOB 6.

Another Fehlmann connection is Angel 3 Dub from Orbsessions 1 and Angel 4 Matrix from Orbsessions 2 is ACTUALLY Teufel from Fehlmann's Good Fridge (Flowing: Ninezeronineight).

Battersea Bunches Limited Edition A & B

Limited edition set of battersea bunches prints + DVD

there are 2 versions of this, SET A & SET B, each one has different prints but the DVD contents are the same on both

a short film by mike coles & alex paterson with music specially created by the orb plus accompanying exhibition by mike coles
In 1956 three young children took a trip from Battersea to Greenwich and the journey was beautifully captured on super-8 film by their aunt. In Battersea Bunches Mike Coles and Alex Paterson have revisited this journey, merging echoes of the past with fragments of the present to create an emotional and powerfully surreal memory. Ghosts of childhood in the fifties haunt the cavernous and derelict Battersea Power Station of today, fragments of lost time drift along the river Thames blending with snatched visions of the future. Set to a haunting musical soundscape written and recorded by The Orb this film suspends us in a twilit, dreamlike world of lost memories. It has its funny bits too.
Mixing stills from the film with contemporary footage Mike Coles has created a series of stunning, frozen snapshots of this haunted magical world.

CONTENTS [SET B]
6 signed & stamped prints of images from the exhibition
ON THE DVD: Battersea Bunches Film 17m 26s
Slideshow of images from the exhibition plus extra images
Dolly Unit by The Orb, promotional video 05m 04s
a poem by Lil Newell written when she filmed the original footage in 1956

PLEASE NOTE: the DVD was burnt for UK TV systems and i'm not sure whether it will work in other regions, however, it should work on most computers
