More new releases from High Frequency Bandwidth

At long last the Original Soundtrack Recordings from HFB's score to the PixelJunk® Shooter series is available to buy. Every track has been lovingly re-created from the dynamic score prepared for the Playstation games.

Shooter 1 garnered a BAFTA nomination for Best Original Soundtrack (Shooter 2 will be eligible for next year's awards.)

Malicious Damage Records have released the album as a DRM-Free Download in iTunes and all good MP3 stores as of now. Priced at £7.99 for the UK, the full iTunes version includes a digital booklet featuring exclusive artwork, original concept art from Shooter 1 & 2 and liner notes from Q Games' studio director Shouichi Tominaga and HFB.The album will also be available on your Playstation via the Playstation Store and Playstation Network very shortly.For those of you who found HFB listening to the PixelJunk games, we've reason to be optimistic that Shooter 2 isn't the end of the story, but like us, you'll have to wait and see.

We've just finished a remix for Russian label Ketama Records (who hosted HFB's debut in Moscow)of the delightful "Sirtaki on Mars". Keep your eyes pealed here for a preview.

Juliet Russell (vocals on "High Five Brother") just released her debut solo single which she co-produced with Dom Beken. Watch the video, buy the single or give a thumbs up to her Facebook site all via www.julietrussell.com

Dynamax (vocals on several HFB favourites) has been collaborating with Dom on a new project known as Years of the Canine. Guests include Afrika Bambaata, Mike "Clip" Payne (Parliament/Funkadelic), Kris Needs and Guy Pratt. Check it all out at www.yearsofthecanine.com

Keep an ear out for Alex's new project with Gaudi and Chester... codename ScreeN.

Some interesting info from Aaron Miles

The weird Orb/HFB track released a while ago - Liquidator Chelsea Mix (HFB vs the Orb) is ACTUALLY The Harry J. All Stars - Liquidator from the I'll Be Black compilation... Might be a little bit different but not enough to be a remix.

On the Baghdad Batteries bonus cd, the track "The Doll" is a version of Thomas Fehlmann's Barbie Girl remix of Electric Chairs BOB 6.

Another Fehlmann connection is Angel 3 Dub from Orbsessions 1 and Angel 4 Matrix from Orbsessions 2 is ACTUALLY Teufel from Fehlmann's Good Fridge (Flowing: Ninezeronineight).

Thanks to Aaron Miles for info.

Hemp’s Fresh Bugle
Issue #2

Herb, Fred and Bert met in a hub on the south star near "great miss indeed ", the deep space outpost warmed by the 6 star system of fnoob. Fnoob is like living in a cushion full of Jamaican rum & emu like beings that eat their own arms. Luckily, their arms perpetually regrow from the ions that bombard "great miss indeed".

"A circus of sound with eons of noise from the outer rim planet high in the constellation of solaris prime." The Star News

“After countless journeys across the chocolate forests, flying against the endless winds of radio waves from mobiles & greys refusing our visa's, 9-11 became just a number. Today is 15-01: just a number, as today will be yesterday one day soon.” The Sunshine Paper (Happy Free Bums)

“HFB – heaven’s finest band - have arrived in a planet near you, from deep space via a sell out tour of Mars at Mount Olympus.

(The biggest mountain range in our solar system.) Theew are rumours of extra gigs in the frozen lakes of the martian north pole. Digital downloads will become available soon...” Hemps Finest Bugle (news spread ad7459*)

We asked one lucky recipient of the new album from the inter kingdom of chilled rhythms for his perspective: “it’s the new set of seconds from that heavy fish breath, the hosts with the most, - your planet is cool. BRING IT BACK. High Frequency Bandwidth - it's a star breaker, a sonic selection to smooth your stockings & leave you in suspenders.”

Witnesses at the landing site said, “…we heard Hitchcock’s first bugle! It brought us to Earth's solar system & the Martian House scene…”

…Herb knew of Fred & Bert , Bert knew of Herb & Fred! Together they became HFB. From then on everything HFB became a “joint decision”…

Subject: hfb press " high times " news from beyond the stars .....

Back in the day when ghetto blasters & tag teams ruled the earth, b4 WMD, there came three into one: Herb, Fred & Bert.

Herb F. B. came from a galaxy far into the Future in da mothership of titan proportions.

Living in a pickled pitched pattern within the star of Frequency's (in a beats per Bandwidth), this drifted across the ether: “filter the echo & rearrange my shirt please Herb, we're going in , at one Beat per decade . High Times – HFB!”

Fred H. B. rode on a spirit beyond the phoenix, from on " High ": Beaming down digital

downloads of the new sound called chill hop. Not on a stick, not a boat, but transmitted in earth seconds to the earth portal area known as Malicious Damage. The subject matter concerns an odd couple* called ... HFB

Bert H. F. (alhough the anti matter disclaimer had a cold) ate a worm hole for breakfast, rapped from across the ocean of time, brought warmth, happiness & countless opponents crazed by the souls of their demons; to rest in the open fires of Bambaataa-Land.

* that's odd . three people as a couple ..........

New Orb album news + The Orb has remixed Transmission

Info from Malicious Damage:

"THE ORB: BAGHDAD BATTERIES {orbsessions vol iii}

this is all mixed, mastered and being manufactured at the moment... it's all
brand new material from alex paterson and thomas fehlmann, it'll be released on july 6th and here's a slice of the press release: "... the good Doctor sets the controls beyond any Earthly confines and gets down to stratospheric sound painting and advanced sonic science, sprinkled with an avant garde disregard for conventional structures. These startling electronic odysseys are hatched with long-time collaborator Thomas Fehlmann, The Orb's Berlin connection who's been there from the first album and last made his towering presence felt on 2005's Okie Dokie album for the renowned Kompakt label, bastion of Berlin techno. Such is the case with Baghdad Batteries where the pair have injected some of these breathtaking outings with a subterranean house pulse beamed up from the Earth's core, resulting in a new form of space disco which sounds as old as time itself while brushed with the most future-pointed minimal techno shadows..."
